Long story short, ended up on the wrong lake threw no fault of my own. Talked to a guy on this lake like 5 years ago and he was killin’ it with the roll r. Structure on the lake is set up well for it. Did not have one with me, so thinking of going back. Anyone do this technique? tips?
    Thanks

Still works well for both species of bass and an occasional walleye. I use a skirted twin tail hula grub on The all terrain rock jig head.

Been using them for at least 25 yrs…..All Terrain Tackle has been a great support for many years. They flat out catch bass…Usually use a Net Bait Paca Craw or Berkley Chigger craw as a trailer.

Ok. Forgive me if I’m being ignorant and no disrespect to Jim (helluva stick), but is there something different to this than it just being a football jig and dragging it over rocks?

No. It’s the same as calling a tissue a “Kleenex”. The original Roll’R jig used by Jim had a beefier (Owner) hook than the lighter wire finesse football jigs popularized out west.

Might give it a shot, supposed to be good mid-summer into the fall, average size is good, numbers I guess are good too.
    Thanks

Their is a chatterbait designed for footballs too, pairs well with a ‘cowboy’ trailer, designed to hop more. By crush I mean the strike is strong not a little ‘tick’.
