I did see that. I was a little surprised he wasn’t using a spin shot type of hook for drop shotting. I would have thought line twist would be an issue, especially with all the fish he was pulling in.
So who here runs a HyroWave?
I’ve heard using the HyroWave while fishing the banjo minnow is a deadly combination.

That’s what I’m curious about as well.

Most if not all of the pros. Doubt I would ever buy one, but if it gives them confidence I guess it’s worth it for them.

Confident that they’ll get a check from Hydrowave? I wonder how many just mount them, but don’t run them.
Guess what. If I had money to throw away (and a boat for that matter), I’d get one. I assume the worst it could do is nothing.
I heard it only really just stirs up the bait fish.
If it stirs up baitfish wouldn’t the sportfish be right behind them?
I have used one and am not going to say “I would not leave home with out it” but just a couple examples I have seen it have an effect was I was fishing a shallow pad field and it was QUIET! no fish moving, no bluegills popping etc.
I turned it on and within 5-10 minutes I had a bunch of gills popping like crazy under the pads and things just seemed to wake up.
The other example that comes to mind was on a trip up to Chequamegon Bay doing some summer time smallie fishing where I was fishing kind of a deep trough and on my graph you would see the fish pull off the bottom, swim up to the trolling motor and check it out then head back down.
With that being said, I guess if I had a couple hundred bucks burning a hole in my pocket the Hydrowave is something I might take a hard look at.

I don’t know how many are actually sponsored by hydrowave, but I doubt it is all who use it.
I do know KVD owns or invested in part of the company.
I know if I was given a free one I definitely would try it out and see if I could tell a difference. But $400 for an underwater speaker and player is a bit much.
It has to be a strange but very good feeling showing KVD how you won.

T’was a joke

T’was just a reply…to that little questionmarky thingy at the end….
If you follow wired to fish, he made an in depth video of where he fished, how he located structure, and how he worked his bait. It was very informative!

Do you have a link?
What exactly is the hydrowave and what’s it supposed to do?
It creates sound mimicking baitfish or whatever to make the fish hangry.

You bet, if you guys aren’t familiar with wired to fish, it is an awesome resource. I follow them on Facebook and they always have worthwhile content.
Am I the only one who thinks using an underwater speaker is a little bit much??

Too a point yes, however…
Just like depth finders, they don’t guarantee you fish they are just an aid.

There have been “fish attracting” underwater speakers around at least since the mid 80’s. More designed to catch fishermen than fish in my opinion.
