It’s a small world, I’m from Muskegon, MI, (loong time ago) and went to high school about 75 miles south of Appleton in Delafield. We’re also using the same rod/reel setup.
    Tight lines,

I still have and use my Fenwick Boron-X. Probably my first extravagant purchase. I bought it in the mid-80’s when I was in my teens. Spending over $100 on a rod while making $3 per hour was a big deal. Boron was expensive, but that is an excellent feeling rod. And I didn’t realize until years after I purchased it, while I was fishing after sunset, but the guides glow very faintly in the dark too.
