I’m with you Lake Angler. Bought a used Ice Castle last week. Kids and I made a camping excursion in the driveway the other night. Love being able to set everything the way I want it. Can’t wait to get it on the lake hopefully in December. St. Paul Ice Show less than 5 months away!

Already have this coming winter’s ice trip planned (Rainy Lake)

My idea of ice fishing is reading about some sap in the far reaches of upper Canada sitting on ice on a lake. Around here though an inch of shale for three or four days is a good plenty of ice for a winter.

I agree this summer hasn’t been too sweltering but I still struggle with the heat. Bring on the cool weather. Ill be happy to get at some ducks and fall fishing for walleye though before the ice hits
