Anyone looking for FYB partner?

I wasn’t planning on fishing it because I am still dialing the boat in for this year (and waiting on a new TM) but if anyone is still looking for a partner I am available.

I was born in Red Wing 37 years ago and have been fishing ever since. I have worked in the industry for 15 plus years; in a tackle shop, as a deckhand on multi-day offshore boats on the west coast as well as a lure maker (as a independent owner and a subcontractor). If you want some special hair jigs tied up for the event, I would be glad to do bring those too.

I live in Hager City less than 2 miles from Evert’s (walking distance to The Bluffs) and know the river fairly well. Not much of a trolling expert though, FYI.

I own a 17′ Boston Whaler center console that I have fished hard inshore and offshore saltwater and freshwater for the last 6 years. Open to using my boat, but as I mentioned, I really would like to have my new trolling motor installed and a second fishfinder.

If you have a boat and are looking for a partner, I have a free room to sleep in and a garage to park your rig in.

I know the open seat drill and would be happy to provide hot coffee and lunch, bait, split fuel costs and scrub down the boat (been doing the saltwater thing for awhile, so I am pretty thorough)
    Thanks all!

@badgerbacker I don’t need a partner but I am pretty sure I saw you on p4 two sundays ago.

You don’t see many center counsel Boston Whalers up in Red Wing. That is a very sweet boat. Did you live on a coast at any point or did you just buy it for the river?

Im not fishing it nor do I know of anyone who needs a partner but I love this post! I truly hope someone takes you up on the offer as you seem like a good guy to share the boat with.
I wish everyone understood the expenses of boat ownership and offered the things you have. I am always hesitant to take cash at the end of a trip from a buddy I took fishing but I do love the thought. On the other hand, I would never turn away some hand tied jigs, baits of some sort, a burger afterwards or a little gas in the boat.

Good luck and I hope someone comes through for you, Chris

    Thanks guys.
Yes @evan_pheneger we just moved back from southern California. It was a great boat in the ocean and once I swap out some of the salty rigging, I think it is going to be a good boat here.

@4seasonsport, running a boat in saltwater really made realize boats don’t run on thank you’s… at the same time it is hard for me to accept cash. But since my rig isn’t ready whoever offers me a ride is doing me huge favor so I like to chip in.
