I want to go up but I am solo, I used to grab open seats years ago but seems like they are tougher to come by these days.

Not as exciting when you need to be back at the dock by 10pm. smash

Ya but catching 20+ fish over 20 inches is still fun even tho you can not keep any. For me it just a good time.

I’ll probably be out in the Big Point area this weekend. No open seat however….

Zander Nordby won’t be out and about for the full moon. Well, I’ll be out and about but chasing some pink snapper!

In all seriousness….yes, I just referred to myself in the third person and two, the woman has me obligated doing extended family stuff.

Honestly, I don’t mind since Saturday looks TERRIBLE. I tip my cap to anyone going out, and Good Luck!

Too bad the weather today wasn’t what is in store for Saturday.

Might try to go next year-is it just shallow long line trolling?

I had to pull the shade in the bedroom last night because the moon was shining in and kept waking me up.

BC your wife doesnt want you fishing by yourself in the dark 100 miles from home on a lake thats over 100, 000 acres over water thats probably 42 degrees by now? they sure worry about nothing! Kidding; my wife would not like it either.

Bite wasnt to bad the last couple nights. Off the lake by 10, home before midnight isn’t bad either. No boat traffic out night trolling to.

Yes sir, fish were biting. Big ones too. 3 over 28″, biggest was 29″. Wind was light and conditions were awesome. Not fast action, dozen boated and lost several others. More boats were out last night than sunday night. Still nothing like 10 years ago though.

Do you still have to be off the water by 10pm? I thought that’s how I read the regs but just wanted to make sure.

Regarding fishing after 10pm. In case people didn’t click on the link.

June 2 – November 30, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., fishing tackle may be possessed but not used except: a) muskellunge and northern pike may be targeted with artificial lures longer than 8″ or suckers longer than 8″. No other lures or baits may be in possession if night fishing for northern pike or muskellunge. No possession or targeting of species other than muskellunge or northern pike; and b) bowfishing for rough fish is allowed, but no possession of angling equipment, and only rough fish may be in possession.

I’m not eluding to anything here, but has anyone encountered any COs on the water after dark?

I’ve been snuck up on at night from shore from a CO few years back, but never heard of anyone getting checked at night

C.O. met me at my dock once. Asked a few questions and took off. The 10PM shutdown sure sucked last night, the fish didn’t turn on till 9:30.
