Anyone Fishing?

Who’s been out fishing this weekend, or past week for that matter? Any luck?

I was out last week. It was average for us. Numbers were average. Size was above average. All of our fish came in 20’ or less.

Spent the last 3 days, 10 hours each , ripping a Jigging Rapala like that Tom Bolie guy , I think I got arthritis. Small walleyes and a lot of bass, deep 20-28 feet.

Tried out of east side yesterday afternoon till dusk. Tried shaw’s reef, big point area and lots of other places. Pitched jigs and minnows. Never got bit. Saw tons of tullies up on every reef and point. Tried trolling cranks late day and managed just 1 tullie.

Where are the walleyes? Thinking of hitting it again saturday. Are they in the weeds?

I have heard the walleyes slide deeper when the tulibees are spawning up shallow. I’ve never fished it this late to find out so have no first hand knowledge.

I’ve always had good luck fishing just off the breaks of the reefs when the tullies are up spawning. Just not finding active fish right now. Is it the abundance of YOY perch that’s made it this tough? Gonna try tomorrow but scratching my head as to where to start.
