I was going to make every attempt to make it out for the full moon even though I could barely see it through all the clouds but I never expected this. I don’t know if it was the moon, the bottoming pressure or just the spot I was on but when the sun dipped over the horizon, it was the best crappie bite I have ever been on in my life. The red lake special glow demon with a fathead was producing nearly every fish. Biggest was a hair over 13″ on a Berkley plastic and 3 more right at 12″. Never got one under 9″ all night until I ran out of fatheads and had to go to the smaller crappie minnows. Finally had to pack up around 10 while they were still biting which sucks but it was the most fun I have had with my clothes on. Who else had a great bite Friday?
