Headed to Shields to camp and fish over memorial day weekend. How has the bite been? What’s biting? What’s working? I’ve never fished this lake so I have no idea the best place to start.

Panfish are always on the prowl near the weedline by the island. I have had many good late spring days in that area. Walleye can be found with slow death bottom bouncers near the two humps on the southwest side of the lake. That used to be one of my favorite lakes in the area when I lived down there.
