Anybody use the "SmarteJack" product for easily removing a boat lift?

I stumbled upon their website the other day, this looks VERY promising!

I started a thread on easy boat lift removal ideas awhile ago and rigged up my own system with 4 x 25 gallon drums last fall that worked pretty well, but this product looks to check all of my requirement boxes (no need to get wet, no need to pull lift leg pins, etc) has anybody used this system?

    check it out – http://www.qualitymarkinc.com/smartejack.html

The only possible issues I can see is that the manufacturer doesn’t list the weight limit for the lift these are used on? and would a vertical lift rub against the mounting bolts for the bottom bar attachment bracket when lowered?

Watched the video and think you’d have a problem w/ “sharp-rise” rip/rap shore like mine. Looks like it wouldn’t lift enough to get the front legs over the hump. Looks slick though for gradual beach

I run a dock and lift install crew and can’t really picture that being a very effective system. Center pivot wheel set ups like that are a real pain, and I highly doubt that will be able to break a lift free from a mucky bottom. But I have been wrong before!

I saw this. Have not used them but they are supposed to raise the lift even in muck. Our shore is muck and getting the lift out is a chore.

I looked into that awhile ago, it’s priced around $3,000, just crazy….

I have muck and got tired of fighting the boat lift and having a dirty, damp boat so I sold the lift and put in, remove the fishing boat each trip to the cabin. It takes no more than about 15 minutes and for times I plan on heading to Leech or some other lake the boats all set to go. I keep the pontoon at the dock covered with no lift.
I don’t miss the lift at all.
I know everyone’s setup is different, just my two cents. waytogo

I think my shoreline will be ideal for this setup (gradual slope to the lake with hard sand bottom) I’m gonna give them a shot, i’ll report back how they work in the fall..
