I hate the idea of drilling holes into the fiberglass. Has anybody used a Sternsaver

I’m thinking of using one for a Humminbird SI transducer install on my MX1825.

If it works, they should sell lots of them.

Here is a picture of my Lowrance structure scan transducer mounted to a SternMate. I used the SternMate because it did not require you to scuff the gel coat to install the base plate. I installed this on a 2014 WX1900. There are many options for movement and getting your transducer right where you need it. I have also noticed that like the SternMate website says it will eliminate the rooster tail from your transducer it has done that. They are a bit spendy but I also did not want to drill any more hole in my new boat and this seems to work pretty well.

I bought a sternsaver for my boat last year and so far so good. I feel comfortable with it there and it seems more than secure. Hope this helps.
