Just so someone doesn’t get caught, that unit for sale at Cabela’s, Garmin 93SV, does not come with a transducer.

Bummer. didn’t notice that until now. i know it didn’t come with the livescope portion but thought it would come with a standard transducer. Oh well – still a good deal

This is incorrect. The unit on sale includes the GT54 UHD transducer which has since been replaced with the GT56 UHD which is higher power and different frequencies.

010-02342-01 is the Garmin SKU, which is for a 9″ with GT54 transducer.

My cousin called them yesterday and they said no transducer??

But it doesn’t make sense to me that the original price was $1,050 then….that’s GPSmap prices for a head unit

Correct, the original price would have been $899 if it was the no transducer unit, which would have a SKU of 010-02342-00.

I just talked to my cousin again, apparently he called Cabela’s back after some research and did confirm it has the gt54 ducer.

He’s standing on the Woodbury sidewalk as I type this, they open at 0900 toast

Cabelas website has showed no units in stock in Woodbury since last night. I was going to go out there, but didn’t bother with nothing showing in stock.

If he got one, their inventory must have been off. Post if there was actually one there.

Crappie, post if you actually get yours. I don’t believe for a second that I’ll actually get mine, but you ordered earlier so maybe?

I orderd off of Cabelas site at 9.45 and the order went through and I have a confirmation. Which, of course, means absolutely nothing when it comes to Bass Pro / Cabeals…

Cabela’s in Medford is sold out also, but show some still in stock online. Read previous message for the accuracy of that. But, there was one left in stock in Medford that a guy had in his cart, I did verify that it shows “includes transducer – GT54”. I did order one through the store, from online, we’ll see…..

I was at Cabelas in Woodbury this morning, I purchased 2 93’s and didn’t arrive until 9:30 they were giving out bar code tags for purchase at the checkout when done shopping. My numbers were 64 and 65, I was told they had 100 each of the 93 and he still had a pile left when I was there.

Well now I’m really going to be p!ssed if they cancel my online order. I could have gone but with the website showing 0 in stock figured it would be a waste of time.

Hopefully the central online site actually has stock as well. We’ll see, no cancellation notice yet.

Well, I didn’t get a cancellation anyway. Yet… But no shipping notification either. I’m guessing that I’m hosed again. Will have to check credit card to see if they changed me.

    Grouse,
I told neighbor kid about this deal Thursday night and he ordered it within minutes of me telling him. Saturday night he received his shipping confirmation email.

I found my shipping confirmation, I had overlooked it in the in box. Supposedly it shipped on Friday. So if it shows up, it’s a win. Thanks for the tip guys, that will be a nice score.

So if we all end up with one, maybe we organize a meet up on a lake, no fishing rods so we can figure out how to use them. Maybe we can get Bman to come perform a tutorial for us. What kind of beer do you drink B? toast

Heads up – for those that are new to these Echomap units you need to watch the screen clip-in system for the cradle. There have been numerous stories of guys running down a lake, hitting a wave and the screen pops out… lots of guys use some type of bungee strap around the cradle and screen as a precaution…

In terms of learning how to use them, there are TONS of youtube clips with tips…

Good idea. Although I have to say, with or without rods, the result would probably be the same for me. No fish would be harmed in the…

Great tip. Thanks. having the unit go overboard would totally be something that happens to me.

I’m pretty picky, it has to be beer in a can or a bottle or on tap jester

John they’re super easy to use. I’m sure you’ve seen that video I made, that’s my main screen for ice fishing. If not I’ll send you a link.

I figured you would be tough to please! The link would be cool if you don’t mind I don’t recall seeing it but probably did. I did not buy the ice kit yet as this is going on the boat and not sure if I will use it on ice.

    Thanks Dude!

How did these Cabela’s prices compare to the prices you got at Reeds?

Dutch if this was to me. It was the exact same. When Cabelas last ran the add, I like others here was on the website and it said no inventory. It was a post here then, not sure who told us about it Bearcat I think that Reeds was matching or running the same deal to just call them. So I did and they shipped it to me. I just wish reeds was closer.

Do you have an example of what this looks like? i don’t have the unit in front of me but i guess having a hard time envisioning what you are talking about.

https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/pn/010-12673-03 is the part that mounts to your boat. You set the bottom of the unit on the three bottom nubs and then push the top back and that part in the middle clips into the back of the screen. I have a 73sv and it’s never fallen out but maybe the bigger/heavier ones do, I don’t know. I wouldn’t really worry about it personally beyond making sure that top clip is actually fully engaged. It is possible to feel like it’s in but the clip isn’t fully in the groove and it could definitely pop out then.

Edit: I just linked this for the pictures, you don’t have to buy it separately.
