Anybody seeing any good deals on SI units?

Has anyone seen any good or closeout deals on SI units this spring? Honestly, I could go either Garmin or Humminbird, I can’t see any clear-cut way that drives me to not consider one vs the other.

Last spring there were just some terrific closeouts on the previous-gen Hunninbirds, but as usual, I was a day late in hearing about them and couldn’t find any left except at CrapProshops and then–wait for it–got an email 5 days later that said the unit that was in stock when I ordered it, was not actually in stock.

Anybody seeing any deals this spring?

get them quick, I suspect there’s not going to be very many left for Garmin to sell with the old GT-54 ducer packaged inside…

Where are they selling at that price. I sold 1 and kind of regret it.

Where are you seeing that price?

Cabelas/BP starting 3/11. I believe they have the Helix 9 G3N Mega SI $300 off during that time as well. Quite tempting.

I have a 93sv but it was far more than 599. That is a steal and the mapping and touch screen on the garmin is awesome. I would do that one in a heartbeat if I needed another graph.

The Woodbury store has had that price all year. Of course they haven’t had any to sell. rotflol
Scheels price matched the 73sv at 449$ for me.

Pretty sure the Helix deal said limited quantities also. I don’t think it’s in store only, but I haven’t found them in stock online. Best bet is to call.

Not on sale, but I picked up an elite FS from lowrance. It’s hard to argue with the best side imaging in the game!

Pretty sure a friend of mine said he got a helix 9 G3N w/SI for 999 at Scheels (in store) a couple weeks ago. I don’t see them on their site though.

I got the Helix msi g3n at Scheels a couple weeks ago. I wasn’t advertised online but I called and they said they were in stock on clearance at 1199 and free shipping. It is on my boat.

I bought my Lowrance Elite 9 at Cabela’s 3 weeks ago on sale for $599. This included a $50 gift card and free instillation. Was hard to pass on that deal.

My guess is that these $599 Echomap9 boxes are the very last stock that exist anywhere, Garmin has likely pulled back every existing stock from their distributors around the world, so if you want one, you better be fast and lucky on the 11th…

I ordered a Helix 9 G3N Mega SI from Cabela’s on 2/15 to pick up in Rogers MN.
They had the $300 off and an additional 10% one day deal if you ordered that day
Two days later I decided to add a 2nd unit to pickup, still had the $300 off.

I went to pick them up and asked for a price match to include the additional 10% on the 2nd unit and they did.
Total out the door price was $1163.94 each.

These are to replace my 800 series units, I’ll keep one of the 800 series on the dash for mapping and network the Helix’s, 800 series and iPilot Link.

I’ll check Cabelas when the sale starts, but as usual, I suspect this will be another non-sale-sale with no actual stock available at the sale price.

Some decent prices on Humminbird too. Will wait on them to see if the Garmin is actually available.

Think that’s spot on. I grabbed the 93SV UHD / gt54 for $550 at West Marine by Ridgedale shortly after black Friday, they had a pile of them at that time and were matching competitor’s prices. The $550 was advertised at Cabela’s but I don’t know many who actually found one in stock there.

Not to rain on anyone’s parade but you should not overlook the improvements in a new model. I like a sale price just as much as the next guy but in reviewing the desired brand IMO the improvement was worth the extra cost.

If anyone see’s a sale on a 7″ model with SI I might be looking casually. preferably hummingbird but not opposed to Garmin. Both work well year round.
