With this warmer weather someone has to have been out. I’m guessing the complete lack of reports anywhere means a slow bite. I’ll admit I’d be a little surprised if the fish weren’t going though since I’m stuck at home on crutches after injuring my knee and usually if I can’t get out that means the bite of the century is happening.

January 7, 2019 at 5:16 pm #1823919Thanks gonecribbin for the report. Hopefully my knee will be healed enough to get out in a couple of weeks. I’ve had pretty good fishing down there in January in the past.

Someone is always on an amazing bite when you fish the river

January 10, 2019 at 3:25 pm #1824995The WI backchannel ramp has a bubbler going to keep it open. Lots of parking and lights.
February 19, 2019 at 2:56 pm #1836586Anybody out? Everts says their ramps are open, but nobody posting?

I don’t think Everts is what it used to be.
mojogunterPosts: 3301February 19, 2019 at 3:10 pm #1836595Things are different at Everts now. It is getting close to the FYB tournament so even if people are fishing, reports will be slow to come out until that is done. The weather has been terrible since December for open water fishing hasn’t helped either.

Instead of looking for a spoon to suck on… Go fishing and you report

February 20, 2019 at 3:38 pm #1837053This time of year can be a real challenge on the easy bite…. however, one of my most favorite times of year to go! The opportunity for a PB fish is as good as it gets and dinner bell males will show themselves at the magic hr…..
Cant catch em on the couch !!!!!!
February 21, 2019 at 7:29 am #1837204I mostly fish Pool 2 from ice out until September. I will always give status reports, (ramp conditions, ice conditions, water temp, river flow, how the bite is, etc.) to be helpful to others and let them know what they can anticipate if they decide to head out. That is all I was asking. It appears things are a tad different on Pool 4.
February 21, 2019 at 8:19 am #1837220Ramps are open. You can call everts or just go to wi back channel.
Ice conditions… None. Of course I find ice on pool 4 but almost nobody ventures on the water at those temps… So if you’re actually going to go fishing..99.9% there is no ice.
Water temp and river flow can be googled. 33-34.5.
Flow… Winter stable. Ain’t been warm! How the bite is: see winter fishing pool 4 historic posts. Nothing has changed. There’s a hundred reports from past years in this time frame. They’re all valid.
Who needs to know ice conditions on pool 2 up until September??? Lol!!!
