Am I overthinking it? is it as simple as just cutting the Alligator clips off and soldering the wires to a 12v plug-in dongle? I’m going to buy the Ion battery power pack this winter and want to use it to power my Otter LED light kit.

I did that same concept with an adaptor to a dewalt 20v drill battery. Having hand tool batteries available made it a great option for me. Small and easily transportable made it a great option (works great in boat as well)
Sadly my tools are oldschool 18 volt so there wasn’t that option available, thanks for the replies all!
