If so, any ideas if the front strap access holes work with the front strap points on a Sportsman? Based on the pic it looks like they may be somewhat high, but hard to tell.

Yes, I am looking at buying the deluxe travel cover in the link provided, but from the looks of it the tie down access holes in the front look like they are way out on the side. The Polaris cover has an opening more in the center, but it’s a much larger opening.

The sportsman tiedown points are more in the middle….so I wasn’t sure how well it would work.

Gotcha. I can’t speak for a sportsman atv as I have a Honda Rancher. I have not used the tie down holes yet either as my old man and I fashioned a quick and easy system for my trailer so I don’t tie the atv down. Just drop the gate and remove a board and your good to go. The only thing I didn’t like about the Cabela’s cover was the system for cinching it tight at the bottom. seemed like way too much strap and couldn’t get it tight enough. I cut the straps and made one short strap so all you have to do is toss it underneath and cinch it tight at the top on the other side. Works great now. Hope this info helps you make a decision.

I asked because I store my quads outside and the covers I have been getting from Mills are outstanding for that. Like a mini garage. But they would not stay on trailering.

The cover arrived last night. I got the XL size for my Sportsman 500 and it is slightly big, but I think the L would be too small. It would fit better if I had racks on it.

The tie down access holes are closer to the bottom near the front tires, so I am not sure how useful they will be. It will probably depend on the trailer that I am using and where I can actually tie down to the trailer.

Overall this is a heavy duty cover and I expect it to last a while as long as I get the cover tightened down properly. I will be using some bungie cords and an extra strap (in addition to the supplied straps) to make sure the cover is snug.
