Fishing was slow this past weekend. My guess would be due to the storm late last week. Hopefully things turn around for you!

Same for me I could tell you what did not work for us. 3 Castles and 4 Walleye to show for it. Super sketchy road on 371 north of Hack friday night going up there to boot. A guy had a castle in the ditch. Hope you have better luck than we did.

Hey we are headed up as well, similar position. Not sure where our rental is out of, but I’ll check back in here and give ya some info if we are catching. Feel free to do the same! Haha.

    Thanks Everyone! Appreciate it..

I have to temper my 14 year old nephews expectations down a bit as he has been trained on Lake of the Woods so he is used to 50-70 Fish days. I told him I would be happy if we catch 6-10 walleyes in the 2 days we are there and hopefully a few other species as well (he likes pike fishing as well). We will probably do a little searching during the day on four wheeler and foot if the weather is nice.

Hopefully the fish you get will be of size and make the trip one to remember. I’ve heard multiple stories of people at lake of the woods catching 50-70 fish all 10-12” I am thinking if you get into fish they will be of much better size(on average) definitely some hogs in LOW but being cold this weekend probably better to catch far and few bigger ones then a millions little guys with a decent one here/there if hopping around. That said keep me posted and I’ll do the same. Thursday-Sunday we will be out there

Pretty slow currently. Couple decent perch and a small pike. Any luck on your end?

Glenn last weekend it was pretty good out in Horseshoe Bay, could get where you wanted to go.

Its a ways from where Trappers probably have their rental house’s but if you are looking for good pike fishing I’ve had decent luck in the main river channel that runs through Steamboat Bay. Lots of action on Tip up and some real nice fish as well.

Turned on tonight! Yesterday was nothing but perch. Tip ups and rattles with small suckers and shiners. Nice jumbos too

Well our 2 night trip was not exactly what we were hoping it would be. One 24” walleye, One 29” Pike, 10 eelpouts (5 each night). A bunch of perch during the day all very small. Wasn’t in love with our location and depth (15 feet) but it is what it is when booking a sleeper house through someone. Overall had a good time and the overall house and setup was awesome.
