Any Ranger Reata 1850 converts to Skeeter WX2060 or WX2190?

I have a Reata 1850 I bought new in 09. Like the boat, just wish it was deeper cause I fish for muskies alot at LOW. I like to go out no matter what the waves are(within reason), and would like a little deeper hull. I looked at the Skeeters at the Minnesota Boat show in 2014. New ones are probably out of my reach. I am keeping my eye open for used ones to come up in the next year or so. I want to try to get out to one of the test drives that Skeeter Boat Center offers, just haven’t been able to yet.

Just wondering if anyone here has had a Reata 1850 and have gone up to the Skeeter 2060 or 2190 and have insight on how much better they might take the waves than the Reata. I am also wanting a dry ride in those situations. My passengers in my Reata’s rear jump seats do get somehwat wet when in rough conditions. I am not wild about the Skeeter’s jump seats. A little narrow, small, thin, and move back and forth too much………but no boat is perfect……..and I am not riding back there I guess. Do want my passengers to stay fairly dry back there though. Thanks.

You should look at the MS 2025 I have one and love it check out the layout I primarily fish for Walleyes but I can have 4-5 people in my boat and everyone can fish. Its nice, Real Nice Clark!!

I made that exact conversion myself! But my experience would probably be deemed as “biased” ! :]

Probably the most identifiable difference in my experience is the Hp & hull performance rating in real time use. Also the dry factor when fishing into the waves are what my fishing experiences is what I recall as primary differences. But with that said, the Ranger my first glass boat, was a huge step up from my multiple aluminum history.

Thanks for the reply Dean. I agree with something you said that I forgot to mention, and it is something that annoys me also. It is when just at trolling speed or a little faster is when some of the wetness of the shallower Reata comes into play.I agree, my Ranger is a HUGE step up from my Crestliner(wetliner). Maybe someday can make the switch…..$$$$ (
