Any one still ice fishing

Hell ya I’m still ice fishing. Gonna go out a little later today once it hits 70!

I was just in North Dakota. But I’m headed out in Alexandria tonight.

I did a quick drive around a few lakes and the Northside of the lakes are getting pretty rough. But from what I can see the shore lines are pretty intact everywhere else. Except for lakes with water running through them of course.

There’s about 28in where I checked 30in last week. But the quality is definitely decreasing. Going from rock hard clear ice to Honeycombed ice in less than a week gives me hope for an ice free opener!

Ha ha I was thinking it would be a ice fishing opener. But I’ll be on the st Croix either way I think. Trying to find those eyes in the bluffs

Did you get big enough minnows EPG? That crappie looks like a big minnow.

Up at Mille Lacs this weekend, still locked in solid other than where the creeks are flowing in. It’ll be awhile yet.

Whatever, nothing going on out there other than at the Y-Club. And maybe Bayview too.

Footnote: The 6 year old grandsons were going bananas.

Was out yesterday in the Alexandria area. Was about 30 inches of ice. May not be able to get on the ice by Saturday. Fishing was good.

EPG where did you end up finding minnows?
