I can’t make up my mind between the Hideout, or a new Otter hub. I really like the hub idea due to a bad back, but setting up and taking down alone is my concern. the cabin hub is a perfect 2 man, or big 1 man IMO. Has anybody had any time on the ice in the hubs?

My new Otter resort hub sets up nice in my garage, but that’s all the further it has gone. cry
I did drink some beers in it and that seemed to work very well. woot

I’ve been thinking about getting a hub too. I like the looks of a new one I saw on another site called Polar Bird. I wonder how it is compared to the Otter ?

I used the otter lodge hut on red lake for the first time a couple weeks ago. It works well and is very warm . Skirt could be a little heavier duty but other than that one of the better hub shelters out there I believe. Won’t be disappointed in otter hub if you go that route.

I actually saw the Polar Bird hub at an open house yesterday. I wasn’t expecting too much but I really liked what I saw and the price wasn’t bad either. The shelter actually had an insulated removable floor.
