I am curious if any of the exibitors had any specials on the Garmin Panoptix/Livescope equipment. Thank you for any info.

My mistake, I was off a week on when the show was to be, thought it was this weekend. Was hoping to find some alternative pricing.

Did anyone make a livescope purchase and willing to share price?

I got the 73cv ice bundle for a sweet deal, now I’m gonna use my Cabelas bucks for the Panoptix.

I got just the base bundle for 600 at the show, the panoptix was going for 1709.99 but you could have maybe swindled it down a tiny bit. I was surprised at the weight of the panoptix bundle. had to be at least 15 pounds just in the carry case.

It’s the larger battery required to run the unit…

I spent some time with a few of the Garmin guys at the ice show. I bought the Panoptix last summer. I mainly wanted to talk about an issue I’m having with my unit and I found out that it is very common with the Panoptix. When switching from forward view to down view my unit does not recognize that the position has switched. It is an auto feature on the unit. I have had this happen many times and it takes quite a bit of time to get it to switch modes. He suggested increasing the gain so It will pick up the different signal. I had tried everything including disconnecting and shutting everything down. Eventually it gets to the right spot but can be frustrating especially after you find the school in the forward mode and want to sit on top of the school in down view. He said the new LIVE SCOPE has a manual switch as a selection on the screen and this eliminates my problem. I’m not ready to upgrade yet. The guy I spoke with didn’t seem optimistic that there would be a fix for this. My unit is a 93sv (not the plus) with the 22 transducer.

Interesting Red Bricks. I have a PS30 and PS22 and have never had that issue, but I fish deeper water of 25 – 30 ft so maybe my gain is high enough.

Did anyone see the price for livescope system only (LV32 Ducer and black box)? I’m wondering if the Duluth show is worth while.

Yes. Drawback is bulky and expensive.
