Any more reports from Red?

Just wondering if anyone had tried the opener there? Limited reports on another thread, understanding conditions were brutal. It wasn’t but a few years back that anglers flocked there for opener with scores of boats and activity reports of plentiful catches! Perhaps weather was a factor but thought there’d be more trying there with the allowable harvest and that Mille Lacs has now become a “drive-by”. Hopefully there will more reports that will confirm that Red is still a walleye destination?

Weather was brutal saturday and somewhat sunday. That limited our time on the water both days. We mostly trolled flicker shads along the break. Overall nowhere near the fishing we have had in years past but I think the weather played a big role. Monday when the weather turned so did the bite. I bet it has gotten better each day. We probably averaged 20-30 fish per day with most being right around that 17 inch mark.
