Any Minnesota firearm deer season still open ???

Yesterday on my way out ice fishing I saw a guy sitting in a deer stand mid day in full Blaze orange. Was not close enough to see if he had a rifle or not. If he was bow hunting, He’s not still required to be wearing full Blaze is he? Just thought it was funny because I thought all the firearm deer seasons were not closed since Muzzleloader season was now done. This was out in the Richmond / Cold Spring area if that makes any difference. I guess it may be possible its one of the various special hunts.

i thought they were all closed but……….them people out that way a bit different……….oh wait i grew up in Richmond and live in cold spring!!!!!!!

Driving coyotes maybe?

He could be archery hunting in blaze orange. It not required outside of firearms/muzzle loader season, but deer can’t see color anyways so there’s no issue.

There are a few “special” hunts coming up in soon in southern MN in an attempt to curb CWB but that’s nowhere near Cold Spring.

Small Game hunters are required to wear at least an orange hat. I see more squirrels than deer from the stand. So maybe small game hunting

is muzzy open yet ? or special hunt area ?

Muzzle is closed. That closed on Dec. 9th

Decoy not taken out of a stand yet? People do put them up.

Maybe decoy wasn’t the right word? Dummy might be better?
