    Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone can share any insight on these units from personal experience?
Are they compatible with a Motorguide TM sonar?
Is there a way I can transport my waypoints from my Gen 1 & gen 2 units to this unit Via a micro sd or something like that?

    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thx

I have a hook2, but do not have answers to your questions, I run a minnkota trolling motor, and never transferred points. I would assume using a micro SD card would work beings they can store points on a micro sd.

There is no card slot on the Hook 2 units. Also, the transducer cord adapter has not been released yet. You would need to install the hook 2 transducer to the bow mount.

The hook2 series does have a micro sd card slot for mapping, updates, storage, and I would assume data transfer such as waypoints, routes and trails.

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the hook 2 x.

    Lowrance product description:

*Please note that HOOK2 x-Series fishfinders do not have mapping capabilities. The built-in GPS provides waypoints and tracks only.

That makes sense, I was thinking to myself “I am pretty sure my unit has a card slot, but maybe not with the better built in mapping” so I looked it up.

Bullcans, the units themselves are quite nice for the money. The built in Cmaps that mine came with are right on par with my lake master v16 chip in my HDI unit on the bow. They are fairly easy to navigate through once you play with them a bit. But it was an easy switch from an older lowrance to these new units.
