Ya’ll can save the trip up today. Here’s the Two Harbor’s Boat Launch cam….

Pay close attention to the far left of the screen and the breakwater. Waves are breaking OVER the wall in several places including under the light house at the end of the wall.

    Here’s the Duluth Entry Cam.

Pretty blurry with the rain and fog but you can see an occasional wave break over one side wall or the other on both the MN and WI sides of the canal.

    Not a good trolling day.

It’s not that bad if you troll with the waves.

It sounds like, but has not been completely confirmed that the NE winds blowing into the South Channel in between Madeline and Long Islands completely knocked that ice apart. The ice hasn’t cleared, but took a pretty hard hit. Assuming that the interior part of the Bay south of Long Island is still intact, but if you are going that way please be sure to check with River Rock or Anglers All in Ashland for the latest ice reports!!!

Launched at McQuade Safe harbor yesterday. Made the run to the Lester river and worked the mud line for a while, nothing there the water was 31 deg. Decided to find clean water and headed to Stoney Point. We trolled back to McQuade found 33 deg water in a small area picked up 1 Looper. Not much happening yet, but It was a beautiful day to get the Kinks out.
