Any Interest in a Quick Get-together Tomorrow?

Any interest in doing a quick Get-together tomorrow?
I have a spot that’s great for kids. All the 7-9″ (and a couple a little bigger) perch in the world, easy to catch, and a 100 yard walk.

You could drive out if you like, but I had one hole with 10.5″ of ice, others had 11-13″

It would be near Balsam Lake, WI. 1 day non-resident licenses are $10. Kids fish free.

Just chucking the idea out there. The fish are small, but insanely plentiful. If your kids insist on keeping them (like mine) you can get a meal off of a bunch of them.

It’s supposed to be really nice tomorrow, hovering around 30° with calm/light winds.

Say 9-Noon and run over to a nearby bar/restaurant at noon for a quick lunch?

All you would need is a rod, some waxies and walk 100 yards.

No need for a shack, auger, machine, or even a flasher. But obviously bring whatever you’d like.

If there is a few or more guys interested we’ll give it a go

No, everyone would be welcome, but if whoever could come has kids they have to bring them

The fishing there is a GREAT way to get kids interested in ice fishing.

No flasher necessary. Just drop it down and reel them up

Are masks required

The kids would love this but we have plans for tomorrow, cutting wood….next weekend again maybe?

If i load up and head out now i should make it in plenty of time.

We’re supposed to get upwards of 10″ of snow here in Port Washington. Otherwise I’d for sure try to make it.

I was mildly interested…….but 2hr 45mins each way is just to far.
Then you advertise Sharon is coming?!?!?! Of all the days to have the Lear jet in the shop!!!

Wish I was closer Bman. I’d be in for sure. If I was in the TC I’d bring my 7 year old twin grand kids! They would have a blast with your boys.

So, I borrowed my buddies helicopter and got over to Balsam this morning at 8:45. Been here all day, haven’t seen any IDO’ers…..

Yeah we didn’t end up doing anything, was hoping to hear from Bearcat sooner this morning and get something going in Chisago county but we didn’t. I had an obligation this afternoon so the timing wouldn’t have worked for something later.

Oh well, there’s always next time (and with more notice too lol)
