Hate walking my gear threw the thick stuff but am still a proud foot power ice fisherman. People will make tracks and plow roads but I like to go where other people have not been. Oh well. Noticed on a snow report that someone posted that their are a few lakes on my list just North and West of the metro. FYI. 2” in one area 5 miles away 7.

Be careful out there Tim. This snow isn’t going to help the ice situation. Especially around the metro.

I hoof quite a bit. Just hoping when I get up Nort tomorrow there’s not 10′ drifts. Every once and a while I need to pull out the snow shoes.

Guessing with that wind there will be bare spots on the ice and deep drifts. Ice is going to vary. Smitty sled is going to come in handy now. I don’t mind a good hike. Funny how going out is always easier than coming in. lol

Thats how ice works my man. Was like that before the snow.
I hike alot as well. Snow doesn’t help. But with the snow cover be careful. You might have to triple the coverage of insurance. Makes everything thats bad even worse

Another storm coming, if the bullseye lands on us again, we could get a bunch.

I’m worried about those up fishing mille lacs. Just a few days ago there was open water 200 yards out from what I presume to be the most used public access (garrison bait shop). Makes for some very thin ice covered with snow. Sure hope its marked off there and in other areas along the north shore. I had enough ice for wheelers out of sunset bay but not enough for wheelers out of the casino public access. Might get ugly

Wouldn’t bother me either. Seems like we either get a big dose of the white stuff or nothing.

Good if you’re a snowmobile, skier, or snow shoe-er I guess.
