    Do some research. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fisheries/lakes.html
Or go to your local bait shop.

I get a kick out of these responses. We are on a discussion forum, someone starts a discussion and he’s told to look elsewhere.

Makes me wonder if these people say this while standing around the campfire tipping a few back and someone asks about some local lakes. “Here’s a link, look it up. Go ask at the gas station”

Buffalo lake has a reputation for a decent walleye population. It’s been many years for me but we housed to get them on Beebe Lake too. Clearwater has tremendous structure and not too bad of a drive.
Night Trolling on Independence with Flicker shade over the top of the weeds can be a hot bite.

BHM mentioned the places I would have. I’d also add Pelican for panfish/northerns and the Mississippi is always a good option too if you have a skinny water boat or waders. I think it’s pretty shallow around St. Michael.

Still pannies in pelican? Pulaski has good numbers for that area but is tough to fish I guess.
