Any Browning Buckmark fans?

I traded one of my too-many shotguns for a pair of Browning Buckmarks. One is a Plus UDX and the other is a Hunter. I plan on putting a red dot on the Hunter. I’ve been so shotgun obsessed for so long I just needed a change of pace. It’s been decades since I have owned a .22 pistol.

Any other happy Buckmark owners here?

Good guns. Before you put a red dot on it, you might want to consider a reflex sight. I currently have a S&W 22A that I had a red-dot on, I changed it over to a cheap reflex and it’s been great. I think I spent about $30 on the reflex.

I’ve shot the buckmarks, and they’re nice. They are balanced well and are accurate. I think you’ll be happy.

My buddy’s got one. It’s sweet. I wish I had one. I’ll second the reflex sight. I have a cheap one on my Beretta Neos, and it’s cool and works well.

I love mine. Its accuracy is awesome and I got it for $150. Its an older one with the flat sides on the barrel. It’ll shoot a flee off a cat’s balls at 25 yards.

Got a chuckle out of this one-solid. 👍

What’s more impressive is the fact that you can see that flea at 25 yards.

Yes, I’m a big Buckmark fan and have been since I got one the year they came out in 1985. It was my first handgun and got me started on my love of handgun hunting.

In 1988 I shot a prairie dog with it and I paced it off at 103 paces. My dad had just told me not to bother shooting at it because it was out of range. Bang! Whop! Oh to have eyesight like that again!

    A tremendous line of pistols.

I’ve got one and a custom flap holster. Solid and dependable. This post reminds me I haven’t shot it in years.

There are probably a LOT of Buckmarks that haven’t been shot in years because of the .22 RF shortage.

I have seen RF ammo on the shelves several times in the last month, but at anywhere from $8/100 to $20/100. Someday, somehow, I still pray we’ll get back to full shelves. I hope we never see a shortage like this again.

I quit shooting .22s though I do have ammo. I have been preoccupied with shooting other handguns the last few years. Time to change that. I love shooting .22s other than vermin control at the cabin.

My dad has had one since the late 80’s and I’ve loved his almost as much as he has. So I bought a Hunter. First shot down the barrel = dead rabbit. I’ve loved it ever since!
