    Got out chasing a good top water bite the other day and started with my trusty scum frog but they just wouldn’t commit! But I think I may have found a new go-to top water lure!
    Anyone ever use this?

    They work. I heard somewhere they work better when there is a chop on the water? I don’t mean the bait works better, I mean you’ll get more fish to hit it.

    Try the Bill Lewis Ratl Trap version. It works too.

    I bought a bunch in the different sizes but I have a hard time giving them a fair shake because I do too well with my spooks.

    Pug you’re 100% correct! just a nice 5-10mph breeze and for some reason they come out of nowhere to crush it!

    Fire14 you can almost fish them like a spook/prop bait highbrid

    And it’s not a fluke… if you get out and play with them a bit you quickly figure out where to run them to get bit!
