We have a crew headed up on Wednesday. I hope they are still shallow, but who knows this year!!!

I’ve been finding them more in mid depths on reefs the last couple days. Ultra shallow hasn’t done much for me, and I haven’t tried deep really at all yet.

The ones we caught (and mind you, that wasn’t many) were all between 12 and 18 feet. This was on the west end. Nice sizes, 21″-27″ or so. Only saw 3 fish hit the wells out of any of the boats in our area.

Co-worker said it took them a while to find em, but caught plenty of eaters in 10-15 fow jigging last weekend.

I’d like to see what the results of the tourney this Saturday end up being.

Heading up for a week next Saturday. Staying near the narrows. Any tips? Thanks in advance.

My boss fished the tourney yesterday and said it was a great bite all week and the wind yesterday shut everything down and they struggled to relocate fish.

It was weird this year, we still got most of our fish in under 15’ of water. Jon J had the hot boat for big fish getting a 25”, 27” and 28”ers. We had one 26” and a lot of smaller fish. Weather was tough on Thursday and anytime the sun was high the shallow bite shut down completely. The water seems to get more clear each year.
