If users could download anti-bot software would Facebook continue to exist?

I’m sure Suckerburg would find a way to block the software. Bots are good for business.

Facebook is a Bot. You can turn it off.

Twitter/X is the same or worse.

Not even remotely close in my experience. I get so many posts on FB for things I am not remotely following, not relevant to me or where I live and not counting all the ads, etc. I spend far more time on Twitter than on do on FB and its night and day different. Yeah, I will get ads here and there, but nothing like FB.

Both Twitter/X and Facebook are built to hook users and predictably engage them through both real-life crap, and AI/bot manufactured crap.

I ditched Twitter probably 10 years ago when it went away from what it first was. My facebook hasn’t been updated in years. I turned off all notifications for it and just hop on it when I need to sell something on Marketplace.

Yeah you’re right in that regard, I was more commenting on the bot situation. Agreed that FB is full of ads. I went through a phase last year where every day I was seeing ads for Upper Michigan snowmobile trials. Twitter/X does seem to be the platform with bots. I’ll see a tweet about the Vikings and the 2nd comment on the tweet will be some scantily clad woman wanting you to click a lick to speak to her privately haha.

You mean those scantily clad women are not really interested in me? LOL I never click those, but yes, they are definitely there and you are dead on its nearly every time the second comment.

Yup. Haven’t posted anything on fb in years. Also have never even had a twitter/instagram/snapchat account. I’m too young to act this old but I don’t care rotflol

I’m in the same boat. And it’s a good boat to be in.
