Myths circulates every election cycle re draconian firearms laws. There is no such thing as a referendum on a federal law.

You are probably referring to bill 5717 “introduced” in the house. It has gone nowhere and never even got to a vote in the house. It died before the committee stage.

I think that it all depends on who gets elected. Some dems want to tax alot of gun related items. Even so that wouldn’t take place right away.
I myself have just kept up buying ammo when I see its available for the what if scenario.

So…. when you are running for the hills when the “what if” hits what are you taking, ammo or food? Bringing the dog or the kids?

    ? Dutch – I don’t plan on going anywhere.

The “what if” was based on the fact that my family shoots 1000’s of rounds each year whether it be for trap or pistol league. The last few months has been difficult to find 9mm rounds so when you do find some you pick it up. If the costs of ammo doubled myself and others might give up on the shooting sport. If I reloaded my own ammo it probally would be less of an issue. Some people forget the fact that shooting is a sport that kids can letter in for High School.

Jason, just wondering but is handgun shooting a thing now in high school or is it just trap with shotguns? Doesn’t seem to be much of a shortage on 12 gauge target shells. It’s mostly certain calibers of handgun ammo like 9mm.

When I was in HS, trap wasn’t even a thing yet. Neither was fishing. I know they have both become extremely popular.

The problem with elected officials that vote on anything gun related, they don’t know one form of weapon from another, they don’t know what weapon falls under what category and don’t or won’t take the time to be educated, so they vote to tax the hell out of everything if they can so they can falsely say they did something for gun control and appease the anti gun groups.

As far as I know there isn’t any promoted handgun leagues through any high school. MN law states you have to be 18 to process handguns and handgun ammo. My boy is currently in the fishing league and has been doing quite well with a first place last week.
