Another question?

I posted before trying to figure out if it was a good deal to trade my Mathews SQ2 bow for a SKS. After some really good feedback I decided against it. Now I have a offer from a guy that wants to trade a DPMS .223. It look like a nice gun, white camo, with 2 25 round mags. Just wondering what you guys think about this deal? How much do you think the DPMS is worth? I’ve always wanted one but I don’t want to rip myself off either. As always thanks in advance!!

I’m pretty sure you would have to pay well over a grand for that gun new, not sure what the bow is worth but It looks like a good deal to me!

It would help to know exactly what flavor of DPMS he says it is. I think it looks like a Prairie Panther that someone has “customized” by adding that cutout to the stock. But that’s just a guess.

Even a base model DPMS is over $600 new and a Prairie Panther is over $1000 new.

Given that you wanted $375, this could be a good trade. In fact, it’s a little too good to be honest.

What I’d want to know is:

1. Exactly what model of DPMS and how old is it?

2. How much has it been shot? With an AR this is not necessairly a deal breaker if he doesn’t give an exact answer or the round count is high. Barrel replacement is viable if you get a deal on it.
