Out in the hard sided shack last night camping with the kid, we had Netflix syncd to the TV and I kept telling my son to be careful with my phone. So I end up grabbing my phone off the shelf and go to toss it on the table, it hits the corner and deflects off the table. Bloop right in a 8 inch hole. Never seen my brother move so fast. He was shoulder deep in the hole within a blink of a eye. But it was all to late.

Hate when that happens. But hope I got that out of the way for the rest of the season .
Sorry to the few guys who were talking about meeting me last night or today. I wasnt ignoring you I just had no phone .

Need a life jacket on my phone ha ha. Worst part of it all was that randomly through the night we would see it light up from a phone call or text. Dang life proof case must have been working good

I have yet to drop mine in an ice hole, thankfully. But I’ve come uncomfortably close to losing in the toilet. And that usually happens when I’m pulling up my pants, so if it goes in at that point I’m not sure I want it back. shock

I just bought a new one and kept fishing.
The retrieval was near impossible. To get the materials to build a grabber claw. I wasnt trying to make a run to menards at 9pm. I just cracked another Busch light and tried to comfort my self.

Pita is for sure. I lucked out and all my pictures were saved to my gmail. So I still have a pictures but none of my contacts. And 2 hours of my day was at the phone place today so that was real lame. And phones aren’t cheap either

Was a sick feeling. Just like taking 800 bucks and burning it. What a crap deal. And I have no one to blame but my self and the damn table in the wheel house, and probably the Busch light

Sorry to hear about your phone that sucks. Next question did you catch any fish or where you too busy trying to catch a phone?

I always said that if I dropped my keys into a porta-potti, I’d throw my wallet in afterwards, to make the retrieval worth it,,,,,,

Not me! I think I would be SOL. No way I could handle that crap. I’d just leave and not be crappy!

is the phone laying on top of a poo teepee or did it sink in the muck? That’s the determining factor!

Literally, with how expensive phones are these days. I have the S9+, and you can bet I’d be finding a way to get that phone out of a porta-potty.

Haven’t lost a phone down a hole, have had a few close calls though. Fell asleep in a top bunk with an iPod, woke up and couldn’t find it. Looked over the edge and it was sitting on the edge of the hole, hanging halfway over. Brand new too, had gotten it 2 days prior as a xmas gift.

Had my RAVpower 22000mAh charger battery fall out of my jacket pocket last year right into the hole….no splash….perfect 10. Gold medal worthy. Things a brick so there was no chance in getting it in time.

If losing a phone down a whole feels anything like watching the jig box fall in I feel for you. I just switched to an old smartphone that was given to me. Might go back to a flip phone.
At least my old garmin gps floats.
