That is a bummer, especially for the workers and greater Bemidji area. Looks like GSM owns a bunch of familiar brands, so hopefully we will see Northland around for a long time.

Sad days when these companies are bought by larger corporations. Quality never goes up.

Illinois is hemorrhaging businesses and population, and it has nothing to do with big corporations.

I hope it works out for the workers, pro staff, and consumers….I’d be fibbing if I said I wasn’t concerned for all listed.

That’s a bummer. Im still not over Water Gremlin.

Guess I’ll be calling them Southland Tackle from now on…..

Article says a couple dozen people will lose their jobs but they employed over 100 people some time ago.

Was the Bemidji facility just management and a warehouse or did Northland Tackle actually manufacture their products in Bemidji ?

Dont think they’ve manufactured anything for years. At least thats how it seems when I try to buy anything.

If it’s like Lindy all the specialty stuff will be gone and only stuff left will be the big volume stuff that can be ordered from China. Don’t expect any hot colors or new items to be restocked, they usually get one huge order for the season and when it’s gone, it’s gone.
