Hello fellow fishermen,
I buzzed out to Devils Lake this weekend to meet up with some friends from the cities that had never fished the lake before and it was a great weekend on the lake! Couldn’t have asked for better weather! Especially on Saturday, even though it was overcast conditions most of the day, I’ll take 30 degrees and no wind over ANY other day. The fish were a little picky this weekend marked a lot of fish on the flashers but you had to work them a little to get them to commit. Along with the occasional aggressive fish that just came in and smoked your lure. We fished mostly around Grahams Island to the south and west towards Minnewakaun. 22-28ft of water seemed to be the key for perch, focusing mostly on transition lines and small breaks going from deeper to shallower areas. Mostly fished with forage minnow spoons and swedish pimples tipped with minnow heads.
Here’s a few pics from saturday!
