Another Battery Question

    Question –
I have noticed lately that the 3 batteries that I charge with an on board charger charge at different rates.
In the past, all 3 have charged at a similar rate. Lately 1 of the three charges much slower than the other two.
The posts and connections appear to be in good shape. I have not noticed any lack of performance with the slow charging battery. It does eventually go to a full charge.
Should I be concerned that either the battery is going bad or the charger is going bad?
    Thanks for any help.

Is it the starting battery or do you have a 36 volt trolling motor?

It is not the starting battery. If I am not mistaken, that gets charged off the motor.
I have a 24 volt trolling motor. The third battery, as I think I understand it is for the power steering.

Swap the charging leads and see if the problem follows the battery or the charger lead.

Maybe your power steering battery draws down more? Are your graphs and pumps on it too?

If it is one of the smart and variable chargers, I believe that it sends most of the amps to the lowest battery first. I’m wondering if that would mean that the last battery charged was actually the battery that was drawn down the least? I don’t know the answer but just a thought.

I just had a battery that is acting like yours, slow to charge. It actually blew up this week from being charged. The guys at Interstate said it was getting old and ended up getting a dead short in it thus causing it to blow. Not fun, battery acid and parts all over in my front storage. Ruined a couple of vests and 2 drift socks.Hope the carpet is o.k. So if in doubt replace the battery!

The graphs are hooked up to the main motor battery.
    Not sure about the graphs.

I meant the graphs are hooked up to the main motor battery.
After playing around last night, I think the power steering is hooked up to the battery in question.
