Doesn’t help that you started a defense on bye either. doah

I also have Deebo but luckily it didn’t cost me.

Yeah, I only would have lost by 50 if a def that was available would have scored 20…. the prior week, 2 teams had -2 from their defense so…. doah

Haha ya mostly irrelevant in this case. I see it more as the principle of the matter. We have kicked people out of league for starting injured players or players on bye.

That seems harsh.. for a bye ? I like my team enough not to want to drop someone and lose them for the season, for a Defense that may get me 5 points or even lose points. I am in a friendly league I guess !

Wow that’s harsh. If a person hurts themself by starting a injured or bye week playing why others would be upset by that I have no idea. It doesn’t happen often in our league, but it does from time to time. If I had a top player on bye or a top Def. on bye I would not want to drop them just to pick one up for one week. To me the Def. is a plug and play from week to week. I normally look at the claim list and if someone has a higher projection than my current Def. I pick them up and drop my current one.

We have a league rule you have to start an active lineup, but that is for the end of the year so teams out of the playoffs still put a lineup out. Otherwise guys shut it down and don’t update their lineup, and are automatic W’s for the opponent while being competitive against people who played them early.

big_g Start Mixon every week he’s healthy, he’s a beast and on a far better team than Hubbard or Stevenson. Good teams = RB points!!!

Exactly. People who are not engaged for one week and then have a starting lineup for another isn’t fair for every opponent.

If you want to plug and play defenses and kickers, have at it. That’s allowed. What isn’t allowed is starting players on bye or that are injured.

There’s plenty of people that want to join our league. We have no problem filling spots when people get booted. To be fair, they know the rules ahead of time too. It’s just laziness.

I don’t think your 3-4 record is a rise to the top BW! You did whoop me, helped you had three lions players score you almost 70 points alone and my QB (stroud) got me five! I do seem to be in my annual descent to the cellar in all my leagues though!

I wasn’t lazy… I spent a lot of deep thought and preparation to start Chicago’s D on bye… lazy is not a word that has been put on me ever.

I need a little help on this weeks Lineup. Would you start Mayfield at home against Atlanta or Burrows at home against Philly. Also at receiver what one of the 3 would you Start: Harrison, Jennings, Diontae Johnson ???

My apologies, I wasn’t specifically referring to you or your decision as being lazy. I was referencing the people we’ve removed from our leagues over the years.

Mayfield is QB2 in our league right now, so I’m riding with him until the wheels fall off. And I’d start whichever WR is healthiest, and if all are good to go, then Harrison or maybe Jennings.

Objects in your mirror are closer than they appear! Weedis is 4-3 after that great start meanwhile I’m 3-4 after a terrible start and only 2 points from passing him up. Smell that? Smells like fear. rotflol

Ya in ours as well. The only reason I’m questioning it is with all the injuries they have at WR and TE. I’m not even sure he still has to throw a ball to. He did get me decent points last week in Garbage time when they were behind by so much.

The 49ers activated McCaffrey today off of IR. He is slated to practice this week and barring any setbacks, will return to the field on Sunday against Tampa.

Just for those who had the top overall draft pick…

I need 17 from Baker in one league and 40 in the other…so you’re telling me there’s (half) a chance! whistling rotflol

Finally getting to use the guy I spent 39% of my auction budget on…priceless. I’m 6-2 in that league and in 2nd though, so that will be a huge addition down the stretch.

I only need 48 from Baker tonight to pull out a win – So your saying we both have a chance. 500 yard and 6-7 touchdowns is about all I need from him.

my skid continues… loss #4 in a row after starting 5-0… good thing is, I am still in second place and have the 2nd best record overall ! Thinking about dumping Olave… he is always hurt/concussed and doesn’t seem to be producing.

I have now lost 2 in a row. Now tied for 4th at 5-4. having both Mayfield and Burrow is a nightmare. I keep starting the wrong one. went with Mayfield this week and Burrow outscored him by 11.5 pts. Thankfully it would not matter as I got beat by 25 points. Even the perfect lineup would not have been good enough. I should have never drafted Harrison Jr. or should have traded him away long ago. Now I doubt I could give him away. Its either mid to upper 20’s or around 5 points from him.

As good as Lamar’s 32.9 pts was in our league, Burrows 33.7 was even better and I started him. Nice way to start the week. Maybe I started the right QB for once. With my luck Mayfield will go out and score even more. Either way I’m happy with the 33.7

Well I wasn’t so lucky. The team I’m playing this week is 1-8 and has scored 300+ points under the league leaders so it not like he has been unlucky who he has played each week. Just my luck he has Chase 49.90 points and Andrew’s 15.80 on his team.

I’m now at 6-4. We have 4 people at 6-4 and 2 at 7-3. Using the tie breakers I’m currently in 4th. I finally picked correct between Burrow and Mayfield. Burrows 33.7 really carried me this week, Going to need another big one out of him this week. I have 3 key players on Bye this week so its going to be a struggle.

What is the best website for waiver wire pickups? I like simple and to the point. Lists are best. Too many are click bait or long articles with tmi on why you should stash DeAndre Jones in your 50 year keeper league.

Free agents should be listed on availability based on whatever platform you use for your league.

In other words, every league is different.

My league is ESPN. I click on “players” and a list of available players pops up based on the position I select. Just because someone is available in my league doesn’t mean he’s available in yours though.

Last week I picked up Russell Wilson to replace Dak Prescott as a backup QB option for my roster (my regular weekly starter is Purdy).
