I was ranked 7 out of 10 for the draft strength… I have beaten the #1 rated team already by 7 pts and still have Samuel going tonight. I like my team, even the bench is strong !

    McCaffrey’s been declared OUT tonight.

That’s quite a surprise given that he said himself he was going to play. Musta had a set back in warmups.

Really exciting for those of us who have him…especially in an auction league… doah rotflol

The guy I was playing (my brother) has him and the match was basically a toss up going into last night’s game because I had Deebo.

Odds were 55-45 in favor of him until 6:05pm. Then it went in favor of me 99 to 1. grin

I thought it was a bit of a shocker they announced him out. He was technically listed as questionable because there wasn’t anything in the days leading up to the game that led me to think he wasn’t going to play at all. Jordan Mason looked pretty good as his sub.

I saw the postgame interview where Jordan Mason said he realized he may be starting on Friday morning. The 49ers’ roster is so much better than most teams’ that they can pick and choose how and when to use CMC. I’d be shocked if he’s getting a high volume of touches at all for the first portion of the season.

The #1 pick in fantasy football is the absolute last spot I’d like to pick. I love that our 16 team league (now expanded to 18) goes by inverse order of last year’s places. As the 3x defending champion I get to pick last which is way better than early in a big league with a snake draft.

I agree. I can easily see the Niners playing the Chiefs in the Super Bowl again after their results in week 1.

Kyle Shanahan is the best offensive mind in football in my opinion. His ability to win in different ways using different pieces creatively all while NOT having a top 5 NFL QB is pretty impressive. (Reid is right there too, but having Mahomes is a different monster to consider)

However, if this 49ers roster ends up being disbanded due to the salary cap he** they are headed towards and Purdy getting paid……..and all that happens without ever winning a SB – it’s going to go down as an overall failure.

    His ability to win

Meh, I agree more with your second paragraph since he hasn’t won, and in fact has come up terribly short in the big game numerous occasions. Don’t forget he was also OC in 28-3 Superbowl Loss. He’s a very good coach and offensive coach, but he’s basically been Philadelphia Andy Reid thus far. And with an all time collection of talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Plenty of excellent golfers won fewer majors and became less recognized because their primetime coincided with Tiger.

The Belichick-Brady and Mahomes-Reed dynasties have been pretty formidable.

The Vikings failure to win a Super Bowl … last three were against some pretty good teams in the 1970s

    ’74 Dolphins – Schula
’76 Steelers – Noll …. true Dynasty with 4 SB wins in the 1970s
    ’77 Raiders – Madden

I think Barkley will be RB1 through week 2 against a paltry Atlanta secondary. He ripped through the Packers in week 1.

His points were more because of the 3 touchdowns he scored though. Mason did it with yardage.

Well for those of you who had the first overall pick, McCaffrey has now been placed on injured reserve. The earliest he can return is week 6 now.

Really fun stuff when no one had his injury as anything significant pre-draft, so a guy spends 40% of his budget on him. It’s me, I’m that guy. doah At least I got Jordan Mason (currently RB6 overall, with Saquon playing tonight), and I also have Achane so it’s all good. But still frustrating.

You made the right move to pick up Mason. He was not drafted by the guy in my league who has McCaffrey, which is unfortunate.

Well Eli Mitchell was the original handcuff, but they put him on IR at the end of the preseason and he’s out for the season.

I picked up Mason after week 1.. had a feeling. Had my line up set and Sunday about 11am, I see the “Smart Line up” feature… (sets to best predicted) and I hit the button to see what happens.. it benches Kamara and starts Mason… I left it !!! LOL LOL !!!! (still won by 7 going into tonight with Elliot still kicking)

How’s everyone doing so far? Barkley and Henry are looking like the real deal this season.

    McCaffrey…not so much…yet. haha

I’m 2-1 after 3 weeks. My 10 team league only has one person who is 3-0.

Well I finally won my first matchup so now I’m 1-2! toast It’s been fun watching other games besides the Vikings, and also learning more about the various offensive positions. In recent years I just figured there was the QB and then everyone else running around chaotically. rotflol

0-3 in my snake draft and lost by .2 to Josh Allen this week. And 3-0 in my auction league where I drafted McCaffery. Sometimes it doesn’t make any sense! rotflol

3-0 So far… thank god Dak went off for 20+ pts late, in the losing effort for Dallas.. otherwise I would have bombed. yay

I’m 2-1 so far. I’m in 6th place. We have 6 guys all tied at 2-1 but I have the lowest points score of the 6. So far we have 6 at 2-1,3 at 1-2, and 1 guy who is 0-3. I’m playing the guy who is currently listed in 1st place this week. Current projections has him beating me 138-124.
Could use a little help from the FF experts here. I have to start 2 WR and a Flex player ( can be a WR or RB ) At WR I’m currently starting Aiyuk and Harrison Jr. At Flex I currently have Drake London. I have Dionte Johnson on the bench that I could use. What are your thoughts. Should I replace either of my WR’s or Flex with Johnson? if so who would you replace?
I also have Kenneth Walker on my bench, He has been Injured and out the last 2 weeks, but had a good game in week 1. He may also be back playing this week. Not sure if he is a option to use at Flex if he is playing. I’m a little worried using a guy just returning from injuries.

Any of you guys do those prop bets where you go through an app pay like $5 and can win if all things happen? My son has been doing it and he needed Aaron Jones to get a TD that one game when he fumbled going into the endzone. He would have won $300. This week he had a chance at $1300 if all hit and he missed on just 2 of them.

Sitting fine in that snackdraft league at 3-0, might as well send me the $ now BW! 3-0 in my other league as well and second in pickem league. So far pretty good year but long way to go.

I’d stick with London. Although Carolina is probably a better team now with Dalton at QB, I would still stick with Atlanta’s offense over the Panthers.

now at 2-2 on the year. Left far to many points on the bench this week.
At QB started Burrow over Mayfield and that cost me 12.6 points. Started Hall and Conner at RB and left Swift on the bench. That cost me another 25.5 pts. Then at WR and flex I started Harrison, Aiyuk, and London leaving D. johnson on the bench. There was another 14.5 pts. So total I could have added 52.6 Pts to my total. Even with the perfect lineup I would have lost 162-142 so it didn’t matter. Ran into the 1st place guy and he ended up the high scorer for the week by far. He got 70 pts out of his 2 wr’s and his flex player ( Lamb, Nabers, and Evans. ) I took a beat down 162.84 to 89.48 – Ouch !

Man I’m regretting not drafting Barkley, Henry, or Kamara. Those backs were all taken after me at number 3 and they look like studs if they can stay healthy. Derrick Henry had like 40 points last night.

Yeah, it’s the year of the “older RBs”. Barkley spontaneously deciding to have a career is perhaps the biggest headline from the bunch. We’ll see if he stays healthy as Philly will have to ride him hard.
