I’m a droid guy but that iphone 11 Pro Max has got me thinking about making a change. I just worry about moving everything I have from droid to mac and the learning curve.

Has anyone made the crossover and how was it?

This has the potential of a Ford/Chevy or Vikes/Packers thread haha!

One of my brothers had been telling me for years I should make that exact switch so finally I did. It resulted in me being an iPhone owner for around 24 hours. I just did not like the switch. I absolutely love swipe texting on droids and Apple doesn’t have that. Apple also has “back” buttons/options in each app or program, but no universal “back” button on their phone like droids do. What it came down to with me is I guess you could say being stuck in my ways and not liking any benefits really well enough to want that switch.

I have both (work and personal), definitely an Android fan.

I’m an Android user and although I’ve not crossed over the line into Apple territory, I know a few who have. Switching is generally a simple process. It’s getting used to the new platform that takes some time and practice. Two features of Android that I would have a hard time letting go of – the back button. And also the ability to use an SD card. I have a large SD card in my Android phone that my photos are saved to (rather than saving them to the phone). This way, if my phone bricks itself (which has happened before), I can pop out my SD card and I still have all my photos (without relying on a cloud) and I can pop my card into my new phone.

It’s easy. There are user preferences like have been pointed out but the mechanics of the switch are easy.

I was an android guy for years. I’m on my second iPhone (10r) and they are very comparable. I was concerned about battery life mainly but the iPhone batteries are now very good.

Back everything up to google cloud and you’ll be set.

I am a tech person and it took me a week to get comfortable with the new iPhone and another couple to figure out the other things I’d need to use on a daily basis. I think the the phone is better as far add hardware goes and it’s been less glitchy for me. It’s like the OP said though, it’s just a matter of what works for you. For full disclosure… I own a GMC and a Ford toast

Iphone Operating systems are pretty user friendly. You could be 12 coronas deep and still be able to run it no problem waytogo

It can’t be easier than setting up a new a Droid.

I just got a new Moto G7. Less than 10 taps and everything on my old phone was on the new one automatically.

Oh and the Moto G7 64 gb was less than $170 out the door and that’s the unlocked phone so not a subsidized phone price in exchange for re-upping my contract for years.

I made the switch a few years ago, and thought it was pretty easy. My iPhone’s have lasted a lot longer than my Droid’s did, not sure if that’s on the anti-virus advantages or that my iPhone’s were just more recent tech.

I have both, one for work and one for personal. For the most part they all do the same thing and are both easy to use. Each maybe has a few things they are better than the other at, but for the most part they are both quality and both work. If I absolutely had to choose one, I would choose the iPhone.

I just switched from Apple to Android, the biggest thing for me was the differences in some apps, I more expected them to be the same but in app functions got moved around on me and took some getting used to. Both phone operating systems base navigation are easy to learn. Figuring out where some options and settings are located is a simple google search away anyways.

Off topic, but I got a Pixel 3 because they had a $300 off deal. The cameras on these phones keep getting better.

    This was shot at night.
