There is reporting that the cartels have moved into Canada.
It’s just another way to move fentanyl across our borders.
Luis Chaparro is a very good source on what the cartels are up to.

I hear that we should not worry about any fentayl smuggling from across the Canadian border. And that there are more eggs smuggled across the Canadian border than fentanyl. This has to be true. I heard this from Mr. Walz this morning.

    Fact about Fentanyl :

Producing illicit fentanyl is not an exact science. Two milligrams of fentanyl can be lethal depending on a person’s body size, tolerance and past usage. DEA analysis has found counterfeit pills ranging from .02 to 5.1 milligrams (more than twice the lethal dose) of fentanyl per tablet.

42% of pills tested for fentanyl contained at least 2 mg of fentanyl, considered a potentially lethal dose.
Drug trafficking organizations typically distribute fentanyl by the kilogram. One kilogram of fentanyl has the potential to kill 500,000 people.

I sit in the middle of the whole politics debate but the term used above about “the goal posts keep moving” is so true.
Trumps 1st term: “look at the stock market, you are loving your 401k now”
2nd term: “dont pay attention to the stock market”
Biden is in office he says: “I will lower eggs/grocery prices Day 1”
he gets in office “its gonna take awhile” and best one yet “Dont worry about the price of eggs.
Yes indeed, the goal posts keep moving!

What politician hasn’t moved the goal post in the history of politics. It’s not a magic wand to be elected into office.

Now today steel and aluminum tariffs have been raised to 50 percent. This guy doesn’t even know what a tariff is. He is turning our friends into adversaries and our adversaries into friends.

Nothing but speculation here. None of us are privy to the intel.
Im going to wait for the outcome once the dust and [feelings] settle.
Either way I am not worried. I’ve been avoiding canada for 4 Presidents now.
They pissed me off over 30 years ago when I used to travel there for work.

I am guessing Trumps stance on the market is because we have been riding on a bubble ever since Covid.
There were plenty of signs last year that the market would correct.
Pre Covid we had a strong economy.
Post Covid we had a government propped up economy.
Place blame where ever you want but Trump is defiantly not the only one at fault.

After 4 years of outrageous prices on consumer products, it took Trump getting elected for the Democrats to finally acknowledge that, it appears prices are very high, but now we can pin it on TRUMP!

At the end of the day, I love it when they are fighting. Politicians are supposed to fight. It’s when they all get along when you need to pay attention. War is on the horizon in such situations.

I think each province has a Premier. Which is similar to each state’s governor here.

Obviously the Ontario premier has more pull and leverage because it’s the most populous province and shares significant ports with the US.

has anyone heard Canada say lets renegotiate trade tariffs? As long as its in Canada’s favor they have no desire. come up with a fair deal for both countries and we’re both out of this situation. I would think shutting down the cartels and stopping the flow into and out of Canada would be a priority unless Canada is somehow making money from it through the cartels.

Bingo. The government artificially stimulated the economy for far to long. Keeping interest rates way low for far to long. At some point a adjustment had to happen. That and Trump had nothing to do with each other. Interest rates started to increase long prior to trump winning the presidency. A lot of people here need to spend some time learning about economics to fully understand what is happening and what trump is trying to do

My 401k skyrocketed the last 3 years of Biden. For those who say it was so bad, you have your retirement invested in the way wrong way. It also grew great in Obamas 2nd term and also did very well under Trump until Covid hit.
Just like trump said in his (and followers follow)1st term “look at the stockmarket” and now (since it is bad) dont pay attention to it. Yep, sums it up right there

The amount of chaos and instability along with ridiculous statements and claims made since the end of 2019 is crazy and it all leads back at 1 guy

I am no hardcore Democrat or Republican, I some value in some of the beliefs of both sides along with disagreeing with some on both sides

I just dont see how everything going on right now will make us a better country in the end. If the goal is to bring jobs back here from other countries, good luck. The cost of labor here is why the jobs left in the first place. If you want to increase the pay for labor, the cost of the goods goes up, which it will from Tarriffs, so why go thru the pains in the first place?
