I have a 5 year old Lund Explorer. It hit a boulder and has a 8″ long by 2″ deep dent in the center ridge of the bow right where it bends from vertical to horizontal.
It is purely cosmetic as it does not leak or affect performance.

Can you help me find a boat repair shop that can fix this back to new condition without costing me an arm and a leg? I plan on a fair price, and am willing to travel to get it done. I live in Omaha and cannot find anyone here to do this.

    Your suggestions are appreciated.

Sounds like an insurance claim to me. I would call Lund and see if they can do the job or point you in the direction of a shop that can do the work. They will need to remove the interior and flooring to do the job correctly. Not going to be cheap.

Good advice form John. Call Lund. I know a good shop up here, but nothing in NE.

No, it will not be cheap. If you have insurance, now would be a good time to use it.

Before you go any hull work make sure Lund is advised and aware of it if you have a warranty through lund. I have herd horror stories about boat manufactures backing down on a later warranty claim because a previous repair was not done by a manufacture approved repair facility. Not saying lund will do that but have herd it with a different boat manufacture.
