Hey guys, as the subject line reads I have a 2010 175 Dominator sport. I am having issues with the rear livewell filling up with water. I have tried several different plugs for the drain hole but nothing seems to keep the water out….I wish it had the open/close switch that the front live well has….Is there an easy way to install on of these? is any one else having any issues with this? Thanks

Sounds like it’s coming in the overflow. The only thing to do would be to see if you can somehow plug or block the overflow.

I have the same boat. I never really thought about it before, but you are right that there is always some water in there when I’m on the lake. My problem with the rear live well is that it doesn’t fill up as far as I’d like it to.

I typically dont use the rear livewell for fish, I like the fact that the front one will completly drain when on the water. When I have my boat in the water for a week straight on a trip, I like to be able to drain the water, the rear livewell doesnt allow me ot do this so I would just like to keep it completly dry and use as storage / cooler…..any ideas / suggestions from other Dominator owners out there?

Put a elbow in overflow hole and turn it up

On my Skeeter I used rubber plugs with the flip lever that expands them for the drain holes. These are available in various sizes from hardware stores. For the overflow port I used a soft rubber ball. I put it in a ziploc bag and forced it into the overflow. With the bag sticking out you can easily pull the ball back out.

Have the same issue on my aluma back troller. Live well sits below waterline and fills up just a lil bit every time, did what was mentioned already and got rubber plug that expands and pop that baby in before you launch and you’ll be good to go.
