Any one have a hard time getting the seat pedestal out of the floor? I had to use a slide hammer on mine. Any remedies?

    Thanks

I have had issues with Springfield tubes and bases.
I cut one off a few inches shorter and learned they actually taper the bottom few inches a few thousandths. I ended up turning it down on a lathe.

I would assume you may me able to use a sander with rough paper if you had to in order to reduce the size. Its not much but its enough to urine a fella off.

took me forever to do the exact same thing. I could still use a few more hours of sanding to make mine fit better.

Well I guess it’s nice to know I’m not the only one with this problem.

When I had my Alumacraft, I used to spray my seat posts with silicone spray periodically and it helped a lot.
