Well guys here it is. Got my dream rig a 2013 Competitor with 150 Yammie 4 stroke. Wife got the bimini cover and is happy. Funniest part is when we inspected it our son looked at it and said “is that our boat?” I said you got it buddy. He had the biggest smile then asked to climb in.
Dad was so proud.
Been waiting patiently for a number of years to upgrade to a family boat. Normal life stuff, layoffs, and other concerns kept pushing it off. We all know how that is.
Felt I lost a friend when I sold my old rig I had for 18 years. It was not an Alumacraft and it served me well but I have always wanted one. So I nervously signed the papers today.
I truly feel blessed to bring one home to make some new memories with my family and friends. I kept walking into the garage to look at it to the point my wife asked was I going to sleep in it.
Thanks to all those who answered my questions on rigging and other stuff. Went with a shorelander roller trailer with brakes, humminbird 798 with side and downimaging, powerdrive 24V with universal sonar on the bow. Other stuff to come that I want next year (gotta save up some more money 
)
