    Has anyone installed a 54” shaft bow mount motor on a 175? it looks like it would work.I fish the river backwaters a lot so I run it shallow a lot of the time.My back won’t take fishing in 3′ chop anymore, and I hate casting around A motor sticking up 12”.
    To install the lower bolts in the kicker motor can you remove the piece of corner decking fairly easy.{The could have given another inch of transom to clamp to!}
    Last,the clear hose running with the motor control cables from the motor {115 Yammi} to the console I assume is for the speedometer.Whoever rigged the boat pulled the wire ties tight enough to collapes the tubing.Not to concerned if it’s the spedo as I’m not too concered with speed over 2.75 mph.
    Thanks for any help Steve

    The clear tubing is for rhe speedo, i have a Dominator 175, with a 60″ shaft, i have it up in calm weather stiching up at least 10″, so i assume for you in calm water the 55″ might work. But a little wave action it might be jumping out of the water.
