With the warming temps (finally), the water temps are warming as well and the smallmouth bass are moving into the shallows for their spawn.
The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage has a trophy smallmouth bass population with 18″-21″ being very accessible through mid-June.
The walleye fishing is still great on weedless jigs tipped with fatheads. The jumbo perch are also hanging with the walleye, but should soon be moving into the shallows for their spawning period. With the cooler temps, most fish are in the 9′-14′ woody areas.
Crappies and bull gills will be moving into the shallows by early to mid June.
