Season 8 of Alone starts on Thursday at 8:30pm central time on History Channel. The prize this time is $500k and it’s in British Columbia, Canada, on Chilko Lake. Who’s watching?

I’m going to watch. I have a feeling this one is not going to be as good as the million dollar one was.

Anyone been watching the new season in BC? 4 people have tapped already and cold weather hasn’t even showed up yet. Really slim pickings on the food supply. I think a couple small fish have been caught total so far. Whoever can land a big meal might win this.

Some talented people left. Our boy isn’t one of them though. Word is he couldn’t bring his blankie and his Les Stroud survival manual.

Seems those who build awesome shacks, tap early ? Some of those in pine bough tee pee’s are in for a world of hurt when the weather changes… looks like maybe the guy got a whitetail on last nights episode ? whistling

Far less food source on this one. Some good early shelters gone to waste from early tap outs. Who ever gets the deer they show in previews should win.

The season finale from Chilko Lake, BC is tomorrow night. There’s 3 people still left. Two of them have basically eaten no protein during the entire season.

Thank you, I thought I had missed it.

I say Clay won… he got the deer and caught a few fish too. Biko’s strategy is wait it out and try to out starve the others at this point.. he sits around doing troll things and talks about all the weight he is losing (he packed on 75 lbs extra before the challenge) Theresa is just too skinny to begin with and is not getting any protein or even calories period. Clay is constantly trying to gather food… he is actually surviving and not just looking for the end.

Pretty boring season to be honest. The fact they couldn’t fish gill nets until like day 50 or something like that, couldn’t kill squirrels, and they couldn’t shoot bears even tho they are every where, it really limited protein sources. Very poor location for this season due to those regulations in my opinion. Grizzly mountain sounds cool but I’d rather watch people eat than starve. This season has been the least eventful by far.

Agreed… watching people sit in their shacks is getting old. The Grizzly drama they had is now hibernating… supposedly they had to go to this location because of Covid and some Canadian restrictions, which put it in a protected area with little hunting and gathering seasons.

He is a character for sure, but he doesnt do anything but randomly belt out ridiculous songs. I never got into this series before and I have watched this whole season. I am shocked there are still 3 left considering two of them havent eaten much of anything.

Notice they ended pretty abruptly this last show? I have a feeling they pulled another person for medical, most likely Theresa. It will come down to Clay and Biko.
I’m going with Clay, since I think things were edited out of sequence with a skewed timeline and I bet he made that deer last much longer than they portrayed. I’m sure they had to squeeze some drama out of it since nobody else can find food.

He was removed for medical reasons. I think Theresa will be removed for a medical reason as well since she is basically skin and bones.

Colton could have at least washed his face once in a while. I thought he had a decent plan, but his trapping and fishing didnt work out at all.

If Colton would of actually “fished” I think he lasts longer. He only set his net… if he would have dropped baited hooks in the deeper water, I say he would have been more successful. He could have jug fished, with driftwood too… he was too tunnel vision on the gill nets.

I was surprised that Colton got pulled. It looked like he was catching and eating more food than anyone other than Clay. I said it earlier. That Deer sealed the win for Clay early on. It is a rather boring show this season. The last one was really good.

Would have been nice to see the women from England win. She gave it a good run.

Clay was all over You Tube a few months ago but I never watched anything he did. But it did make me wonder who he was.

Congrats to him, thats a long time no matter where it is.
