3hr show will be 2hrs of show and 1hr of talking about it. Still looking forward to it.

Dang did Amos luck out with the timing of that fire. Could you imagine middle of the night with no one coming and half his crap burnt up. Could of been real bad.

Two gals in the final show. Maybe this is the year. But Rolland is no joke. Longer he is into this it seems the less he wants to leave.

Fat is the key right now for who is left . Roland gleaning the fat from the Musk OX lips and nose was something else!

Ya that man is hardcore and knows his stuff. He also clear he’s in it to win. When asked why he tried so hard to not spook the musk ox herd – he said because other competitors were only 5 miles away and he didn’t want to chase them into their areas. That’s a man that really want to win.

For sure Roland is a survivor smart and resourceful . Ought to a good finale . Mental toughness has got to be paramount at this stage to stay focused when you are pretty much starving .

Final show of the season tonight. It should be good. 3 Hrs makes for a long show, but I’m sure it will go fast. I still say if Roland’s side freezes and he can figure out a way to catch a few Lake Trout he’s going to make it the 100 days. I don’t think he will tap out. They could possibly remove him due to medical reasons ( To much weight loss and to low of body fat )

Its great to see two women still remaining. I do think Callie also has a shot. Kielyn doesn’t seem mentally tough enough – She has had several near melt downs and almost tapped out a few times already. I just hope someone wins 1,000.000. someone deserves it for what they have had to go through.

Dang. Now Im going to miss the final night of that sitcom the Dems. are putting on. A good 3hr dose of reality tv will be fantastic after watch some of that other show.

Roland is outnumbered but I think he still pulls it out.

Pretty impressive performance by everyone, but Roland seemed to be thriving out there and with some insulation on the house, an auger and few pounds of butter could have made it to spring lol

No kiddin and to even know enough to save that in the first place. All three where fantastic in the end. Callie was right there if it hadn’t been for her toes. I was a little surprised none of them built any type of shelter on the lake for ice fishing.

It played out about like I figured. Roland was just to good to not win it. It was crazy some of the things he was willing to do and some of the things he thought of. Felt bad for Callie to be taken out by a medical issue. I’m not sure she could have made it to the end but if she caught a few more rabbits or caught a fish or two she would have had a good shot at it. I just knew Kielyn didn’t have the mental toughness to make it. I was a bit surprised that she hung on as long as she did. If they are going to allow a bow and arrows I think they should allow a rod and reel and a few lure’s, Where they were that would have been a game changer. I agree with Mike W – I would have thought that someone would have built at least some type of a shelter on the ice to be able to spend more time out there fishing. I thought for sure that once it froze that Roland would figure out a way to catch some fish. I actually thought it was going to be the Key to him making it to 100 days. That Musk Ox kill early on and his stone structure was the two keys to him making it for sure. Cool show – I am looking forward to seeing how they can kick it up another level next show.

How do you figure? Roland, the only person that went 100 days, did not have paracord.

I wonder what his take home is on that? He lives in AK, and Alaska’s top tax bracket is 37%, but it took place in the NW Territories. And I couldn’t find anything for non-resident tax rates in the NW Territories, but didn’t really look too hard.

    Don
It sounds like you are just what they are looking for for the next seasons show.

Here’s how to get involved in ‘Alone’ Season 8 casting.
Think you could make it 100 days in the Arctic wilderness? It’s time to put your money where your mouth is. While it doesn’t appear that there have been any official announcements about casting for the new season just yet since Season 7 just began, there are official guidelines and instructions on how you can potentially get involved with the new season of Alone when it’s time to jump aboard. You’ll definitely want to be at the ready, because spaces will surely fill up.

It appears that the producers at History know that Alone is a popular show and viewers must want to get in on it, so there’s a special section on the official Alone page that offers instructions on how you can get involved. It’s on the official Alone show page via the History channel, and anyone can access it. There are also important notes to follow so you can audition if you have a burning desire to get involved.

The listing states that Alone is “searching for self-reliance experts to attempt this bold adventure” after asking if you think you have what it takes to survive for up to a year by yourself. That means the 100-day cap is being lifted, which sounds even more extreme than before. But if this new format doesn’t scare you, the same listing says that you can email [email protected] with your “name, age, contact information, location, and a brief description about your survival expertise.”

Inquiries will go to Leftfield Entertainment, which produces the show. That means you could very well be contacted about joining the cast or “other opportunities that it believes may interest you.” It doesn’t guarantee you’ll be added, of course, but it’s worth trying out if you’re interested in trying to survive. Be sure to send off an email if you want to be a part of the eighth season. And let us know if you end up being chosen!

seriously, given all the anti-hunting sentiment in our society today, Roland should never have admitted that it took 5 hours for that ox to go down from the arrow. Also, he should have batoned his knife to cut a pole, lashed the knife to the pole with half of his boot laces and speared the ox thru the lungs,so as to hasten its death by 4.5 hours. That was a horrific display of ineptitude and cowardice on his part.

Oh I get it we have someone trolling here. Good luck hope you catch some more suckers!

No question. Why would I ask. You seem to be the expert I’m sure you will fill us in.

We’ve seen plenty of guys who have all the answers come through here tell us how dumb the people on Alone are and how they would dominate the show. Funny thing is they are all talk and can’t even get on the show.

Not saying you are one of those guys.

not one contestant has known to take the 3 lb block of salt, despite the fact that they are all always dehydrated. None have taken the duct tape, despite its easily demonstrable superiority for many tasks. They can’t even start a fire without a ferrorod, which any boy scout used to be able to do, half a dozen ways. They can’t make a shelter that’s worth a hoot. If your shelter needs a fire inside of it, it’s not worth a damn. I could have dominated this show when I was 20, not knowing 10% of what I know now. When they can’t even have barbed hooks, not one of them has known to cut their hooks in half, reforge the ends, then bind them with fishline into being treblehooks, so that they’d at least have a chance at being useful as trotlines. I’ve run across several who couldn’t even figure out that when you make such a treblehook, you need to run your fishline thru all 3 eyes, so it doesn’t matter if the wrapping comes apart, you’ve still got your hooks and your fish.

I will call the net work for you. And Let them know don Carlisle is in route
